Dear Red Hills Church Family,
I regret to inform you that we will not be able to gather as a church this weekend. I received a call this afternoon from the Newberg School District informing me that they are closing all school buildings this weekend in preparation for severe weather. This means that they will not allow churches who rent facilities to meet on Sunday. The school district is following suit of what surrounding districts are doing and listening to the counsel of their insurance provider. Although we wouldn’t make this call until Saturday night or Sunday morning in the case of severe weather, we understand and honor their decision.
What does this mean for Sunday? We will not be meeting this Sunday, February 10th.However, we will broadcast an abbreviated worship set and sermon at 10am on Sunday. Our Whisper teaching series and small groups must go on! I’m teaching about listening to God in the moments of life. I will be sending you an email on Saturday with details on how to watch the broadcast and join as a church family from your own living rooms.
Thank you for your understanding. I like to think we’re the kind of church that can be flexible, adapt, and overcome any obstacle that comes our way! If severe weather happens, we’ll all be thankful. If not, we’ll have a funny memory for years to come.
Love you all,
Pastor Aaron Hanson
